Richmond Denzel Garrick is presently ten years old. Denzel started piano studies at home when he was 3years old and later studied with Mrs. Miller at East Coast Piano at the age of four. Many judges have praised his performance with comments such as “You show great promise.” “Your artistic temperament is demonstrated with proper guidance in technique and musicianship.” “A superior performance”.

Denzel presently studies piano with Prof. Charles Pettaway,  a renowned concert pianist & also Rita Sklar. He also studied piano with Veda Zuponcic.

Denzel has performed in numerous recitals and programs including Steinway Peace Piano Concert at Burlington Performing Arts Center, & Lenape Performing Arts Center at Marlton, NJ., South Jersey Music Teachers Association for a performance festival at Jacobs Music, George Street Play House for Poetic Print Princess,The United Methodist Church etc. Recently, he has auditioned twice for piano guild at Rowan University to which he is a member of the U.S.A. American College of Musicians.He also earned gold star for “South Jersey Music Tachers Association” festival and Honors for the “New Jersey Music Tachers Association” Spring recial audition at Jacobs music, “Dare To Dream” concert celebraing Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy, performed during the West Point Choir Tour, interviewd on radio and publication in the Star Ledger Newspaper.

Denzel wants to become a concert pianist and as Chi Lin, one of the judges said recently he is on his way to becoming a fantastic pianist.
